Project #62418 (Help Protect Freeroaming Lions in southern Africa).

Note that for our GlobalGiving ‘Collar A Lion‘ project your donation of 37,000 ZAR or 2,500 USD or part thereof will allow SACT to supply one collar, manufactured by Africa Wildlife Tracking. Any donation amount is gratefully received by SACT and will be pooled to purchase collars. To support this program, please click on the Project #62418 link.

Project #62895 (Put Conservation Comics into Children’s Hands)

This GlobalGiving project helps SACT to reprint the existing series of ‘Vusa the Guardian’ comic books when stocks run low. For example, $10 covers the cost to print 20 comic books, equipping a small reading group or after-school conservation club. To support this program, please click on the Project #62895 link.

Project #76968 (The Shepherd’s Shield Protecting Frontline Rangers)

This project provides a specialized safety net for Animal Protection Unit Rangers who patrol the boundaries between rural community lands and protected wildlife areas. Your donation funds the annual insurance premiums of 350+ ranger families, allowing them to work without the fear of leaving their dependents stranded.

Other Ways To Support SACT

SACTs “Wild at HeART” initiative is a dedicated fundraising campaign supporting our educational comic book program. Our trustee, Rosana Venturini, will be conducting art lessons at selected rural southern African schools during 2027 and is offering her wildlife paintings to raise funds for reprinting SACT’s ‘Vusa the Guardian’ comic books for distribution to rural school children.

Please click on the brochure links below to view or download. The paintings on offer are displayed on pages 2 to 3 and can be purchased by clicking the paintings’ interactive ‘Support’ buttons in the PDF document (this action will generate an email to SACT indicating your painting preference and donation bid value. An invoice will then be sent in reply requesting your delivery address).
